I have been riding since 1992. I have ridden in 6 NUMB rides (Nebraska United Methodist Bike Ride for Hunger), 1 BRAN (Bike Ride Across Nebraska), and 1 Ride for Haiti (2011) plus numerous single-day rides. My church is the UMC Church of the Dunes in Grand Haven. My bike is a 2008 Trek 2.3 Triple. In 2007, I organized a workplace cycling group at Bosch Security Systems (Lincoln, NE). In 2008, three of us rode BRAN and in 2009, eight of us rode NUMB. In August 2009, I moved to Michigan and again organized a workplace cycling group at RA Miller Industries (Grand Haven).

I used to ride my bike all the time when I was in high school. It was my main mode of transportation to visit family and friends. Now many years later, and many pounds heavier, I am starting to ride once again to help maintain a healthier lifestyle. I am looking forward to joining my father Ed Mohr on the Ride For Haiti, along with catching up with Rob Nystrom (we attended high school together and were members of the church youth group at Calvary United Methodist Church in Jackson).

These were very rewarding trips that helped those in need. I feel that the Haiti ride gives me another opportunity of helping those in real need in another country.
